We were down 1.4% last week and are now up 5.3% for the year. The DOW was down .7% and NASDAQ was down 1.7%. For the year, the DOW is up 2.2% and NASDAQ is up 5.7%

Cheap Stock Weekly Update June 23rd 2014

We were up .6% last week and are now up 6.7% for the year. The DOW was up 1% and NASDAQ was up 1.3%. For the year, the DOW is up 2.2% and NASDAQ is up 4.6%

CSI Tip: BUY DAEG

DAEG announced Q4 2014 earnings (quarter ended April 30, 2014) on June 17th. Revenues were $7.2 million down from $9.8 million last year. They actually made a profit of $.01 per share on a GAAP basis. On a Non-GAAP basis they made $.07 a share versus $.03 last year. Our valuation rose to $3.39 up from $3.25 last quarter. Gross margin inched over 70% and net debt came down to $7.2 million from $12.2 million a year ago. Looks like they may finally be turning the corner.

From their press release: “We are excited about our product offerings and opportunities and remain confident that we’ll demonstrate growth in the second half of calendar 2014.”

After last week’s dismal performance we had our best week of the year this week-up 5.2% We are now up 7.2% for the year. The DOW was up 1.2% and NASDAQ was up 1.9%. For the year, the DOW is up 2.1% and NASDAQ is up 3.5%

Cheap Stock Weekly Update April 26th 2014

CBEY had a takeover offer last week. We sold it for a 37% gain in a little over 2 years. On the other hand we are selling GRVY for and booking a 36% loss after holding this for a bit over 4 years.

Overall last week we were up 1.8% and are now up 3.1% for 2014. The DOW was down .43% and NASDAQ was down .45%. For the year, the DOW is down 1.3% and NASDAQ is down 2.4%
